„We are proposing a cabinet with a program and we are ready to share power as the Constitution has envisioned it. Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic, which allows enormous control by the National Assembly over the ministers. The idea of mixed teams, where no one is responsible, we have seen it, and we will not play this movie for the second time.“

This is what former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov told „BNT“ on the occasion of the proposed cabinet of the alliance „We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria“.

According to him, everything is currently in the hands of GERB, as the winner of the first mandate, and Borissov has three choices before him. The first choice is to propose his cabinet and seek the cooperation of the MRF and the BSP, after which he will be forced to satisfy their interests. The second one is to go to another election that will show a similar result and put him back to the same choice, and the third is to support the proposed „We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria“ minority government.

„Citizens need to understand very clearly what we are doing, because there were many nuances on the subject. After the elections, we came out and said that we will not support the first term, but we will offer a good cabinet. A second step was to propose a rotating presidency, so as not to go into the horror movie of last time. We also set a criterion for the legislative program, which we could not pass the previous time. And finally we offered a program and a cabinet. All the time we play with very transparent steps, so that all the players on the field know how predictable we are,“, Kiril Petkov stated.

According to him, the candidacy of former Education Minister Nikolay Denkov for Prime Minister was unanimously supported in the coalition, as he is the most suitable person for this position.
