The chairman of the Middle European Class Party, Georgi Manev, has announced that he is retiring from politics, as Iskra.bg has already informed you. At the party’s congress in October, he will nominate his current deputy, Konstantin Bachiiski, as the new leader of the political force. Manev announced
„I believe that he is the person who can continue the path I have led the party with the most dignity. This will be my proposal of the Congress for President!.”
„We hope to continue with dignity the case you started,“ Bachiiski said, after Manev handed him the file with his application to resign from the chairmanship of the SEC.
Asked by journalists whether the SEC was ready to provide its registration to former caretaker ministers Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, Manev was adamant that talks had not been held with them.
„But I see in them actions that are close and similar to the ideas of the Middle European Class party. But if they judge and want they are welcome. The Executive Committee needs people. An interesting impression yesterday made me the speech of Kiril Petkov, who said that right-wing policies should pursue left-wing goals. And the government has so far never learned that it is not important for you to be good, it is important that your neighbor is not bad, „Manev stressed.
When asked at what price they would provide the registration of the party to Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, Konstantin Bachiiski was adamant that they are not for sale.
„I personally and the“ Middle European Class „work for ideas, for causes. We are not for sale. So far, we have shown throughout our public life that we have worked only for causes and ideas. It can even be said that some of these causes shook Bulgaria. So we can’t talk about such a relationship at all. In addition, SEC decisions are taken by an Executive Committee. We do not have a decision whether we will participate in the elections yet”, Bachiiski stressed.
Manev was adamant that no talks were being held with the NFSB for a joint appearance at the upcoming early parliamentary vote.
