„Today, we saw two significant votes. One was a proposal voiced by Peevski’s MRF – to drop the point for a decision to create a commission that would determine how large the American influence is in Bulgaria. The other was a proposal by the ruling majority – to extend the deadline for proposals in the Electoral Code for changes to 28 days. Both proposals were voted on almost entirely without criticism by WCC-DB. I mean almost entirely because when we requested a re-vote the second time, two people from WCC-DB voted against, and four abstained. But the remaining 22 voted in favour,“, Kostadin Kostadinov, chairman of „Vazrazhdane“ said at a briefing from the National Assembly.
This shows that obviously in this formation, which is not homogeneous, there are processes of integration into the ruling majority. Clearly, some of them regret not joining earlier and are now wondering how and in what way to become the fifth wheel or spare tire of the ruling majority of the four-party coalition of GERB, MRF of Dogan, BSP, and TISP.
„It is a pity for the long-suffering voters of WCC-DB, who have already gotten used to the betrayals and treachery from their elected representatives. It is clear that this formation is controlled by Peevski and he tells them how to vote from the front line,“, Kostadinov further commented.
According to the chairman of „Vazrazhdane“ important votes are ahead, and the ruling majority will need more votes to reach 160 votes.
„It is obvious that WCC-DB are currently negotiating and trading their votes, and are expecting to be compensated in some way with positions in the executive branch or in the regulatory bodies that will be negotiated in the future. However, all of this is endlessly undignified, extremely vile and hypocritical, and undermines the authority of Parliament as a whole. Everyone in it, except for „Vazrazhdane“ is reinforcing their image as a criminal gang, gathered with a single goal – to steal from the state treasury,“, the political force further claimed.
