Leader „Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov asked for an urgent meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. The reason is the reduced financial resources for in-vitro procedures.
„Yesterday, the government decided to cut the budget for financing the in-vitro procedures by BGN 2 million to provide for agricultural subsidies. At a time of a monstrous demographic catastrophe that is literally consuming our nation, such a decision is nothing more and nothing less than an act of state treason. Not to mention that an attempt was made to pit one group of Bulgarians against another – families with reproductive problems against farmers. And all of this is being done in the name of Bulgaria’s entry into the Eurozone. With these BGN 2 million, several hundred Bulgarian babies could be born – desired and much-needed children of the Bulgarian people! Today, I will request a meeting with the Prime Minister and demand that this criminal decision be overturned!“, Kostadinov stated in a Facebook post.
