Hristo Ivanov and Maya Manolova made statements on the sidelines of the parliament, in which they insisted that in the future cabinet there should be no influence of GERB and MRF, as well as that there should be clear political commitments. We remind you that earlier today they were accused by the political party „There is such a people“ of pushing Bulgaria to new early elections, as they set conditions for their support.
Ivanov explained that they remain waiting and constructive, but ask questions of principle. According to him, they are pushing Bulgaria to nominate a government that can really change it.
„We have not given up on trying responsibly to make every effort to nominate a government within the first term.“
Ivanov pointed out that instead of receiving an answer, they received a set of personal attacks that do no honor to anyone. He stressed that they want political commitment, not just a conversation in the direction of the moon. According to him, so far there have been no negotiations with Trifonov’s party, but free talks and they expect the process to continue.
Maya Manolova, for her part, announced that they do not want ministerial seats or participation in government, but are adamant that they will not support a government in which there is experience in installing individuals and influences from GERB and MRF.
“Our support is not crucial for the next government, but we see our role as a guarantor to prevent such a replacement”, she added and she claims:
“As of today, the MRF has already started setting conditions for supporting the future cabinet.”
