„We are looking for Krasimir Parvanov, who as early as 2019, during the third cabinet of Boyko Borisov, was elected as the holder of the golden state share of Lukoil Neftohim-Burgas.“ During all this time, not only did he not make a report and report on his work, he did not appear in the parliament, but the Bulgarian citizens also do not know how and whether the state interest was protected by the holder of the state gold share.“

This was stated by the leader of „Stand Up Bulgaria“ Maya Manolova to journalists during an action entitled „Action „Golden Action“. During the demonstration, she showed a mock-up of a gold stock, and activists of the formation placed golden barrels and mock-ups of gas stations with a demand to reduce the price of gasoline and diesel by 1 BGN to the real value of the fuel, according to them.

According to Manolova, the state, which is a shareholder in „Lukoil Neftohim-Burgas“, has special rights with the golden share, namely – to have a representative in the Supervisory Board of the refinery, who can convene a General Assembly, determine its agenda, including blocking decisions.

„Stand Up Bulgaria“ believes that the holder of the golden state share does not protect the public interest. Today, gasoline and diesel prices at gas stations are BGN 3.30 and BGN 3.45, respectively. They are based on the price of Russian crude oil of $74. In December last year, its price was exactly the same, but then gasoline and diesel were sold at BGN 2.40 and BGN 2.50 per liter, i.e. one lev cheaper. What has changed during this time that the price has increased by one lev per liter? This is speculative profit and it harms Bulgarian citizens. It is implemented by a company to which Lukoil Neftohim-Burgas has given exclusive rights. He earns BGN 10 million per day, or nearly BGN 3.5 billion per year“, said Maya Manolova categorically.

Only last month, the prices of the Russian oil „Ural“ fell by 20%, but the fuel prices in our country fell by only 3%, Manolova reported and asked why the holder of the golden share had no relation to the matter. She claims that there was a prime ministerial umbrella stretched over Lukoil Neftohim-Burgas because of the close relations of former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov with the then head of the refinery.

„With the coming to power of „Continuing the change“, in addition to the Prime Minister’s, a European umbrella was extended, because personally Asen Vassilev and Kiril Petkov committed themselves and obtained a European derogation and the right to process Russian oil for the refinery in Bulgaria. There is no benefit for the Bulgarian people from the advocacy of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, but obviously someone else is winning.“

Manolova is adamant that next Friday she will be at the Ministry of Energy to ask the minister how the state protects the interests of Bulgarian citizens in the refinery and when fuel prices at gas stations will reach normal levels, i.e. with leva cheaper.
