The leader of „Stand Up Bulgaria“ Maya Manolova accused the Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov of locking himself in the department in order to prevent her from talking about expensive fuels. A week ago, Manolova announced that she would like to meet him. But today, both the service entrance and the central one were locked and guarded.
„A big shame for the caretaker government. Mr. President, look at what your appointed ministers are doing. A great shame for Prime Minister Galab Donev. Mr. Prime Minister, look at the minister.“
This is what the leader of „Stand Up Bulgaria“ told the media in front of the imprisoned ministry. She added:
„Mr. Minister, if you continue with the political umbrella over gas stations with speculatively inflated fuel prices of BGN 3.30 per liter of gasoline and BGN 3.40 per liter of diesel, we will not leave you alone. We are here today, but we will be here again next Friday. We will not enter by force, even if you are still hiding, but you are exposing yourself.”
The leader of „Stand Up Bulgaria“ called on the Minister of Energy not to hide, but to take an example from his colleague, the Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev, to whom Manolova made a call to stop the export of wood in order to have availability for the heating needs of the population and he listened to her words.
Maya Manolova reminded the media that together with activists of the party she was in front of the Ministry of Energy, as she promised a week ago in the public space, to conduct the „Golden action“ action, part of the „Anti-speculation“ campaign.
„We are here because of the speculatively inflated prices of gasoline and diesel by 1 BGN at gas stations in our country. In just one day, the difference in fuel prices impoverishes Bulgarians by BGN 10 million or BGN 3.5 billion per year. At the same time, Russian crude oil, which is processed by Lukoil Neftohim – Burgas, is sold for 74 dollars, the same as at the end of last year. However, then the price of gasoline and diesel was BGN 2.40 and BGN 2.50 per liter. Now they are with lev on top. So, the reasons are not external, nor are they in higher production costs”, said Manolova.
She recalled that the state has a golden share in the refinery, which makes it a shareholder and accomplice in this robbery. Maya Manolova concluded:
“People are robbed additionally in the conditions of a severe crisis. What does the state gain from these inflated prices? Absolutely nothing! Refinery taxes last year they were BGN 0 for the treasury, and now out of godfather shame they have paid BGN 7 million, which against the background of a 3.5 billion increase in their profit is absolutely nothing. The more expensive fuels hit Bulgarians in the pocket not only by refueling at gas stations, but also by raising the price of all foods after their transportation. Therefore, the Ministry of Energy, which holds the gold share in the refinery, is complicit in inflating inflation, robbing and impoverishing Bulgarian citizens.”
The leader of „Stand Up Bulgaria“ Maya Manolova appealed to the Bulgarian citizens to vote en masse, but not for randoms, tourers and poseurs passing through Bulgarian politics and the country, who do not know how to make decisions that will make people’s lives better.
