The Ministry of Tourism imposes a maximum penalty of 5% of the concession fee for the current year on the concessionaire of the sea beach “Butamyata” near the village of. Sinemorets, due to violations of the concession contract.
The inspection was carried out by officials from the specialized administration of the Ministry and confirms the findings of the experts from the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water – Burgas.
In the course of the inspection of the Ministry of Tourism, traces of the passage of heavy machinery, excavation of the territory of the beach area, in addition, reinforced concrete belts have been cast, some of which have not yet been decontaminated.
The actions of the concessionaire identified in the inspection violate the regime for the protection of the beach – they are contrary to the commitment to environmental due diligence and have clearly not gone through the coordination regime with the control authorities, including the Ministry of Tourism.
“It is unacceptable to encroach on the natural integrity of sea beaches. We will be uncompromising with anyone who breaks the rules. Any action, regardless of the reasons, should comply with all legal provisions and coordination regimes. Taking care of the coast is a duty – not just a contractual obligation”, said Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh.
Minister Borshosh explained that meetings with the control authorities in the districts of Varna, Dobrich and Burgas will take place at the end of the week. The institutions have been invited to present measures and initiatives to ensure a successful summer season and a peaceful holiday for tourists. Representatives of the municipalities and the tourism industry will participate in the meetings.
