New orders will be issued and will take effect on December 1 due to the extension of the emergency situation by 4 months. This was announced at a briefing by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov.
There will be changes in these orders that affect students on the one hand and border control on the other.
„What we are changing are several opportunities for extracurricular learning. The current order created an interpretation of whether dual training could take place. There are students who have practical training outside the school building. This thing has been corrected. There is an opportunity for individual consultations, for taking exams, for matriculation exams. These are measures of the Ministry of Education and Science to facilitate the learning process“, Katsarov explained.
He explained that there is no obstacle for the return of high school students from 5th to 12th grade, but the decision is up to the Minister of Education. In the order and now this is allowed if a safe environment is provided in the schools, ie if tests are done.
„We have provided over 1 million units. Another 1 million units will be provided to them today. We have announced an order for another 2.5 million tests. So within the next 7 to 10 days we will provide a total of 4.5 million tests“, said Katsarov.
As regards border controls, the period during which a quarantined person may be released will be extended. It is currently 24 hours and will now be 72 hours. The „Green Certificate“ will continue to be valid and there will be no changes to the current rules.
Another important news was announced by the Minister of Health during the briefing:
„The epidemiological situation is improving both during the number of new infections and during hospitalizations and deaths. We will probably get out of the dark red zone tomorrow, which is very good news for all of us.“
For her part, Mira Kozhuharov presented data according to which we have now reached a level of 500 per 100,000 population. And the peak of the fourth wave was on November 4, when there was 928.3 per 100,000 population.
„Currently, the curve is falling very sharply. „More than 1.7 million people have a full vaccination course and their number is increasing“, she said.
