Former caretaker Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov believes that it is possible that there will be new parliamentary election this autumn, which will be held together with the presidential election. The reason is that, according to him, it will be very difficult to form a new government after the April 4 vote.
According to Gerdzhikov, it would be good to form a broad coalition if it is seen that there is no other way. He commented that the politicians in the next parliament must have a vision that they will have to step back and unite around a program that is in the name of Bulgaria. This program must then be followed.
Gerdzhikov also told “BNR” that it is theoretically possible to witness a program government, but this is difficult to predict.
The former caretaker Prime Minister also commented on the work of the 44th National Assembly, saying that one of the few positive things is that it has completed its mandate. But according to him, the production of this parliament was of very low quality. According to him, MPs in recent years have shown a clear disregard for the law.
Gerdzhikov also commented on the presence of former State Security associates in the lists of candidates, saying it was bitter. As another problem, he pointed to the presence of few lawyers.
