The first priority for the government is the problems of people in distress due to the floods. This was stated by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov during the extraordinary first meeting of the new cabinet.
Petkov commented that the most affected areas are Smolyan and Blagoevgrad, where several bridges are in danger of collapsing.
The district governors are to be invited tomorrow to discuss the problem. The ministers of regional development, as well as the Ministry of Interior, responsible for accidents and disasters, will also take part.
The next priority for the Harvard graduate was vaccination. As of today, an order will be issued to enter the Council of Ministers only with a „Green Certificate“. The immunization and the pass in the ministries will be the subject of talks with the Minister of Health in order to take steps in the right direction, Petkov added. He appealed to all ministers to share the information and problems they had committed to in the first contact with the unit entrusted to them. The Prime Minister insisted „let’s start working together“.
