There will certainly be a runoff in the presidential vote, said political expert Hristo Panchugov. He said he was not enthusiastic about the presidential election. Panchugov commented:

Political formations seem at the moment unable to offer anything different from what they did in the previous two elections. We do not see new strategies, we do not see new ideas for unification, there are no clearly agreed plans for what will happen in the future. However, what is encouraging is that there is more than one presidential candidate. His seemingly trouble-free victory is no longer so trouble-free. But we have not yet heard what the outcome of the crisis looks like, neither from Lozan Panov nor from Prof. Gerdjikov. However, it is certain that there will be a runoff.

The political scientist noted that the move to nominate a MRF candidate is strange, but not new. According to him, there is obviously an internal problem with the mobilization of this party and this is a clear request that they want to stay on the political scene. According to him, the nationalists will not succeed in these elections. Panchugov said he was interested in whether the Vazrazhdane party would take more interest now. He specified:

The participation of Itzo Hazarta and Belobradova – I can say that when there is no sense in the clash, we start filling it with symbols. It is sad that „Democratic Bulgaria“ has to constantly remind about the action in Rosenets and MRF actually become the engine of their campaign ?! And the DB must seek a change in strategy and implement its campaign with content.

According to Panchugov, the statements of the new players such as „We continue the change“ so far do not have a common management program with „Democratic Bulgaria“. He added that so far the two parties have no requests for what exactly they will negotiate after the elections.
