President Rumen Radev said it should be checked whether the audio recording, which allegedly belonged to Prime Minister Borisov, was authentic. He commented to journalists that the demonstrative reluctance of the Prime Minister to check whether the recording was authentic is strange, because in this case it was not “just about Mr. Borisov, but about the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, our country, which is discredited”.
The head of state described the audio recording as “a brutal brutal attack on the Bulgarian parliament, on our European development and demonstrates arrogance, authoritarianism and a vicious style of government”. According to him, if Borisov and his entourage claim that the recording is fake, then it should be established and punished.
Radev criticizes the purchase of Fibank shares by the state-owned BDB. He pointed out that even the noblest goal could not be justified by the way it was viciously implemented, especially against the background that the state poured our money into a private bank without an explanation for the capital shortage and the profitability of the venture in question. According to him, the government has long owed an answer to how and where our money is spent.
