Mothers of children with disabilities protested today on the initiative „The system is killing us“. It was held in front of the Council of Ministers at 11:00 and continued with a drive.
The event was organised on Facebook. Everyone with cars or motorcycles was invited to join. The beginning and end of the column were marked with cars of the initiators of the protest.
The open letter of the protesters mentions that their protest activities started on March 1, when they demanded the resignation of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Sacheva. The reason for this was her attempts to use the Personal Assistance Act (PLA) „as a tool for clearing political accounts.“ They say that the financial accounts and estimates she has made on this occasion are „absolutely speculative and unfounded“.
The response to their demands was not satisfactory and they now demand the resignation of the government. They write that „they refuse any negotiations with representatives of the Borisov 3 cabinet.“
Former ombudsman Maya Manolova also supported the protest on social media.
