The Vazrazhdane party organized a protest demanding that no weapons to be provided to Ukraine for the resignation of the government. It started around 12:00 today in front of the National Assembly building.
Vazrazhdane accuses the cabinet of foreign dependence and lack of concrete decisions regarding the increase in prices in our country. According to the demonstrators, the government is not coping with the crises that Bulgaria is facing. People insist that there are no NATO soldiers and equipment in Bulgaria.
The party „Morality, Initiative, Patriotism“ also joined the protest, calling for Bulgaria’s neutrality in the conflict with Ukraine and also speaking out against the provision of weapons to our country. They also organized a peace march as the two protests united and blocked the square in front of the National Assembly.
Protesters from across the country arrived in pre-secured buses. There is an increased police presence in front of the National Assembly building.
The rally is expected to continue throughout the day.
