“Revival” submits a vote of no confidence in the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov on the grounds of systematic failure in the country’s foreign policy. Instead of defending the national interest, the government blindly follows the confrontational line of the liberal elite in Brussels, ignoring the desire of the Bulgarian people for peace, neutrality and dialogue, according to Kostadin Kostadinov’s party. They also pointed out:
“Under pressure from external powers, Bulgaria has been dragged into a foreign geopolitical conflict, without public consent and without strategic benefit for the country. Sanctions against the Russian Federation continue to inflict severe damage on the Bulgarian economy, and huge budget funds are being diverted to military aid instead of health, education and social support.
Scandalous passivity followed the death of the Bulgarian UN official Marinov in Gaza – a shocking example of the refusal of the government to protect national dignity.”
“Revival” demands the immediate resignation of the government and a return to a foreign policy based on national sovereignty, the aspiration for the well-being of Bulgarians and support for any peaceful initiative in the international arena.
The political organisation stressed that from Monday – March 24 – the text of the vote will be available in the parliamentary group room in the National Assembly building for anyone who wishes to support it by signing.
