Over the past weekend, the beaches on the Southern Black Sea Coast were full, with Primorsko and Sozopol „cracking at the seams.“ Unfortunately, tourists have not yet arrived in Sunny Beach. This was stated by the chairman of the NFSB Valeri Simeonov for “NOVA”. According to him, however, there should be people during the week as well.

Simeonov also commented on the large number of infected people in the last 24 hours. He noted that 4,500 samples had been taken during that period and that there was a new outbreak in Smolyan. According to him, this changes the general statistics and therefore the results are not much different compared to yesterday.

There is a dirty race in the Council of Ministers for the release of the measures. They don’t listen to Headquarters. These five people bore the full brunt of the epidemic. We unfoundedly accused them. The headquarters saved the country. Opening bars and discos was also a mistake. Who counts if they are 50% full? This is imitation, hypocrisy. We do not have one of the most important conditions set by the Headquarters – we do not have the „control“. “

The politician pointed out that safety masks are not worn en masse – neither in gas stations nor in stores. According to him, people should be scared to follow the rules and recommends the Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev to supplement the order with a fine of BGN 300 for anyone who serves customers without a mask.

The situation on the Black Sea Coast has been changed through the adopted measures for tourism, Simeonov added, specifying that he meant the abolition of fees for umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as vouchers. According to him, the measure 60/40 does not work and explained his thesis:

When your restaurant is closed, you have nowhere to get 40% to pay employees’ salaries and social security contributions.“
