Six BSP MPs are leaving the parliamentary group, and five of them are leaving the party. They announced this to the parliamentary journalists. Among the MPs in question are those who lost the fight for the party’s leadership post, which was won by Korneliya Ninova, namely – Valeri Zhablyanov and Krassimir Yankov. The others who are leaving are Dimitar Stoyanov, Lalo Kirilov, Georgi Andreev and Nikolay Ivanov.
Yankov stressed that they remain socialists and will complete their mandate as independent MPs. Zhablyanov added that the BSP was moving in the opposite direction, unrecognizable to the real socialists.
„The party goes back to times that no one wants to remember.“
Former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Valeri Zhablyanov clarified that he remains a member of the BSP.
