The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation is discussing today the extension of the 60/40 measure. It is expected to be in force until the end of the year, the government’s press service said. The extraordinary meeting is taking place at 2h:00 p.m.
During the meeting, a draft of the Council of Ministers will be considered to amend Decree № 151 of 2020, namely the extension of the 60/40 measure. There are also changes in the application criteria.
We remind you that through the adopted 60/40 measure, as of July 1 to September 30, 2020, employers from almost all sectors of the economy were provided with funds amounting to 60% of the insurance income of their employees.
The statistics of the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding the measure are quite favorable. According to the data provided, BGN 337 million have been paid for the business since the beginning and almost 250,000 jobs have been preserved. The government expects to use this instrument to store another 11,000 seats, or a total of more than 30,000 positions in one of the most affected sectors.
