The GPs had not received the additional BGN 1,000 for their battle with the coronavirus due to a budget procedure. This was announced today by the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov.
The problem was not the reluctance, but the fact that the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund had to be voted on first and then its Supervisory Board had to decide on the payment of this money. This decision is expected to be made today.
Prof. Angelov had talked with both the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the representatives of the state quota in it.
A little later, the National Health Insurance Fund also issued an opinion. It states that all 28 regional funds in the country must submit their reports, indicating how many and which doctors and dentists worked from 1 to 30 November this year. The necessary funds must be requested by 09:30 on December 14.
The requested amounts must also include those according to the methodology for the executors of the primary and outpatient care and the specialized outpatient care.
After confirmation of the amounts in question, they will be transferred to the doctors according to the contracts concluded by them with the Health Insurance Fund.
This is the position of the National Health Insurance Fund:
“The National Health Insurance Fund works as a matter of urgency in fulfilling all regulatory requirements for payment of the amounts reported by the contractual partners, as well as the additional amounts determined by the Methodology in the amount of BGN 1,000 per doctor and for hired doctors for the period 01.11.2020 – 31.12.2020, as well as the amounts of BGN 30,000 for the contractors of SIMP / medical centers or diagnostic-consulting centers, which meet the conditions agreed with the BMA for monthly payment for work under unfavorable conditions.”
