The Ministry of Interior is without a Secretary General. This became clear a few minutes ago from a message sent to the media.
It states that the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Chief Commissioner Zhivko Kotsev, has applied for dismissal.
He was dismissed pursuant to Article 36(6)(1) of the Ministry of the Interior Act. This means that Zhivko Kotsev himself resigned and was released of his own free will.
It is still unclear who will take the post of Chief Commissioner Zhivko Kotsev in the Interior Ministry. This post is especially important in view of the upcoming early parliamentary elections and the vote for members of the European Parliament.
