The Minister of Justice Danail Kirilov announced that all procedures for accepting and registering documents for Bulgarian citizenship. There will also be no interviews for acquisition, release and reimbursement because of the coronavirus.
The order was signed yesterday, and the measure will remain in force until April 13. People who have been electronically booked for submission of documents and interviews during the period 17.03.2020 – 13.04.2020 may make a new reservation after the end date.
They may submit the necessary through the consular and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Bulgaria abroad.
Acceptance and registration of additional documents to already opened files and acceptance and registration of other written documents shall continue to be carried out at the counters of the Bulgarian Citizenship Directorate under the regime of access and service of one citizen in the reception rooms.
