Bulgarian Parliament voted positive for the report on the activities of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) for the past year. This happened unanimously with 123 votes in favor, but without the participation of MRF deputies.
The report shows that in 2019, 2,700 scientists worked for them. The state subsidy was close to BGN 100 million. Most of the amount was spent on wages, insurance, scholarships and benefits.
For the first time, transfers from own source revenues exceeded the subsidy. They amount to more than BGN 100 million. They came from various contracts and sales of products.
Iskra.bg reminds that from the very beginning the MRF was against the election of Simeonov as deputy chairman, which was at the end of November 2019. And then their group left the hall and did not participate in the debates or the voting. Throughout the term of the current parliament, the MRF has been against Simeonov’s participation in power.
For two days now, the MRF has been a source of tension between the parties in the ruling coalition. During the voting of the amendments in the Ministry of Interior, the GERB MPs surprisingly did not support the texts of the patriots to create an opportunity for the formation of voluntary detachments at the police departments.
