The parties in the National Assembly want to be aware with the state budget update, which is proposed by the caretaker government. This became clear after „There Is Such a People” announced that it was most logical for the largest group in the National Assembly to receive the chairmanship of the Budget and Finance Committee. The application was made by Plamen Danailov, who was nominated for finance minister in the withdrawn TISP draft cabinet, BNR reported. He did not answer the question whether he would head the commission in question, but stressed that it should consider updating the budget as a matter of urgency.
At the same time, Danailov was adamant that even without an update of the state budget, the expenses of the caretaker government could be ensured until the formation of a regular one. The expert does not see the need to take new foreign loans, but at the same time he confirmed that there is an opportunity to affect their price the political crisis in Bulgaria. Danailov also said it was much easier for a regular cabinet to negotiate a new foreign loan than for a caretaker government.
At the same time, the Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev announced today on the sidelines of the Parliament that without an update of the budget, there will be no money for the supplement of BGN 50 to the pensioners for the month of November.
„Democratic Bulgaria“ party also took a stand on the topic. MP Vladislav Panev said that if there was no budget update, the caretaker government could redistribute spending and thus provide funds for key sectors.
Panev reaffirmed that the „Democratic Bulgaria“ approves the draft budget changes proposed by the caretaker cabinet, but wants it to be considered first in the relevant parliamentary committee. Panev does not believe that the lack of a regular government could affect the price of a new foreign debt. According to him, it does not matter for the markets whether it is taken over by a regular or an official cabinet.
