The President: Bulgaria needs authorities and policies that are guided by the interests of the people

The head of state signed the decree with the proposal of the second largest parliamentary group We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria“ for prime minister, the Presidency announced.

“Bulgaria needs institutions and politicians who are really guided by the interests of the people, who work for security, justice and against corruption as expected by all respectable Bulgarian citizens.

This was stated by the President Rumen Radev to the representatives of the parliamentary group of „We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria“. Nikolay Denkov – nominated as a candidate for Prime Minister by the second largest political force in the 49th National Assembly, presented to the President today, according to the constitutional procedure, the composition and structure of the Council of Ministers.

Head of State Rumen Radev added that institutions and politicians should strengthen the sovereignty of our country and work to deepen European integration. The President expressed hope that the deputies in the National Assembly will vote in conscience the proposal of the parliamentary group of „We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“ for a cabinet.

After the meeting, the head of state signed the decree to the 49th National Assembly with the proposal of the second largest parliamentary group for prime minister.

The Speaker of the Parliament, Rosen Zhelyazkov, convenes an extraordinary session of the Parliament. It will take place tomorrow at 13:00. The agenda includes three items – electing a Prime Minister, adopting the structure of the Council of Ministers and electing the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria.
