The President signed a decree promulgating the Bill for Amendment and Supplement of the Health Act, and he will refer to the Constitutional Court for texts that are in conflict with the Constitution.
The Head of State has repeatedly called on the responsible institutions for a planned and manageable exit from the state of emergency. The lack of a plan prepared by the Council of Ministers led to the adoption of the Bill for Amendment and Supplement of the Health Act at the last possible moment, with unclear and contradictory provisions.
In order not to interrupt the social and economic support for the affected citizens and businesses in the conditions of crisis, growing unemployment and loss of income, Radev signed a decree for the promulgation of the Bill.
However, the Head of State will refer to the Constitutional Court for certain texts that are in conflict with the Constitution. His arguments will be announced over the next few days.
