The parliamentary and presidential elections will be 2 in 1 on November 14, announced President Rumen Radev from Pleven, where he is taking part in the celebration of the 144th anniversary of the beginning of the Third Assault for the liberation of the city.
The Head of State argued his decision: „In this way we will save money on the treasury, and people’s time in particular. It is obvious that the two campaigns for the National Assembly and for President and Vice-President will run simultaneously and merge.„
„I am a strong supporter of non-partisan consensus and will rely on the support of all decent Bulgarians around the big goals – the fight against poverty and lawlessness for a free and prosperous campaign.“, he added.
The President assured that he would dissolve the National Assembly as soon as possible in accordance with the procedure and requirements of the Constitution, the electoral law and the technological time for issuing decrees.
