The state has no funds, we take them from the taxpayers and redistribute them, said Prime Minister Kiril Petkov from the parliamentary rostrum. According to him, a working group has been set up to determine what funds are needed by the municipalities that have introduced electricity restrictions. He commented:

„We will talk to each municipality that needs help to pay for electricity. When we saw examples like the one in the capital, with different lighting prices, we wondered if these municipalities really needed extra money.“

GERB-UDF MP Tomislav Donchev asked the Prime Minister when our country will have an approved Recovery and Sustainability Plan, a partnership agreement and approved operational programs. Kiril Petkov explained:

„The recovery and sustainability plan has been submitted to the EC, and she welcomes the new changes. The broadcast took many major changes in some sectoral policies. As an example, I can share with you the Energy sector. At the moment, as you know, there is a huge dependence on Russian gas.

Petkov clarified that there are dependencies at Kozloduy NPP as well. According to him, due to the conflict between NATO and Russia, Bulgaria may have certain sanctions. According to him, in the presented plan there was a steam and gas plant and added:

„It gives dependence to increase even more from these supplies and Bulgaria’s energy independence has been reduced. We had to rework part of the plan so that there was greener energy.“
