There are 16 new cases of COVID-19 infected people in Bulgaria. This was stated by the Chief of the National Operational Headquarters, Gen. Prof. Ventsislav Mutafchyiski. Thus, the confirmed cases of the virus became 581.
The new laboratory-proven cases are from Stara Zagora – 3, Kardzhali – 1, Plovdiv– 1, and the rest from Sofia.
So far, 213 people have been admitted to hospital, 21 of them being treated in the intensive care units. 42 people have been successfully cured – 27 men and 15 women. A total of 23 patients have died.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in medical personnel is 32. A new case of a 64-year-old woman has been registered. She is an X-ray laboratory technician in Sofia.
