There are 39 more new cases of COVID-19 from 11 regions in Bulgaria

39 more new cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria have been reported by the National Operational Headquarters. 14 of them were hospitalized. The number of reported cases of coronavirus infection in Bulgaria is now 1387. The active cases are 1107.

The active areas of infection are 11. There are 11 cases in Sofia, 11 in Vidin, 4 in Plovdiv and Kyustendil, 2 in Sliven and Pazardzhik. In Pleven, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo, Haskovo and Yambol – one each.

There are two new cases of COVID-19 infected children up to the age of 18 – a 16-year-old girl reported by the Regional Health Inspectorate of Blagoevgrad, and a 15-year-old boy from the Haskovo hospital.

58 people have died so far – two from Vidin, reported yesterday afternoon.

A total of 222 patients have been successfully cured – more new 16 – three of them have been reported by the Military Medical Academy, one by Pirogov Emergency Hospital, six by the Regional Health Inspectorate, three are from Burgas, two of whom are medical specialists – a doctor and a nurse, and finally – Kyustendil – two, and Kardzhali – one.

The patients with proven COVID-19 who are hospitalized under medical supervision  are 301. 39 of them are being treated in intensive care units.

3 new cases of infected medical professionals have been reported – 2 hospital attendant from Pirogov Emergency Hospital, and 1 doctor who was examined but did not indicate where he worked.

5312 test were conducted during the past week and for the last 24 hours – 1128, with a success rate of 2.7%.
