50 more new cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria have been reported by the National Operational Headquarters. 20 of them were hospitalized. The number of reported cases of coronavirus infection in Bulgaria is now 1437. The active cases are 1134.

The active areas of infection are 9. There are 13 cases in Sofia, 11 in Plovdiv – there is a cluster of two families in the village of Brestovitsa – their contamination is associated with the arrival of people from Germany from both families. There are 10 cases in Vidin. The registered cases in Pleven are 8, 6 of which are from the clothing enterprise “Miziya”. There are 3 infected patients in Sliven, 2 in Vratsa, and 1 each in Blagoevgrad, Haskovo and Yambol.

There are 6 new cases of COVID-19 infected children up to the age of 18. Three of them are in Sofia, respectively, two – 15 years old, and one – 13 years old. There are two infected children in Plovdid – two – 9 years old, and one – 17 years old. They are not hospitalized.

3 people have died in the last 24 hours. The total number is 61. A 60-year-old patient from Sliven suffering from chronic heart failure and ischemic heart disease, a 58-year-old woman treated in Pirogov Emergency Hospital suffering from hypertension, and a 70-year-old man from Plovdiv of the infected families in Brestovitsa have died. He was suffering from heart failure.

A total of 243 have successfully recovered– the new ones are 21.

The patients with proven COVID-19 who are hospitalized under medical supervision are 287. 39 of them are being treated in intensive care units.

5 new cases of infected medical professionals have been reported, and the total number is now 155. Two doctors from Pirogov Emergency Hospital, a nurse from another clinic, a nurse from Pleven, and a midwife from Vidin have been infected.
