The new proven cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria are 51 out of 1,156 PCR tests performed during the last 24 hours. This was reported by the National Operational Headquarters. The number of reported cases of coronavirus infection in Bulgaria is now 1488. The active cases are 1157.
The active areas of infection are 11. In Sofia there are 7 cases, in Pleven – 13, in Plovdiv – 12, Vidin – 7, Kyustendil – 4, Vratsa and Pernik – 2 and one each in Ruse, Gabrovo, Smolyan and Stara Zagora.
4 people have died in the last 24 hours – two people in Yambol and one each in Vidin and Pleven. A total of 266 have successfully recovered – the new ones are 23.
The patients with proven COVID-19 who are hospitalized under medical supervision are 310. 38 of them are being treated in intensive care units.
9 new cases of infected medical professionals have been reported, and the total number is now 164. The infected ones are from Pleven – a doctor, two nurses and one technician, as well as in Vidin – a doctor and four nurses.
Yesterday for the first time in the Military Medical Academy, plasma was taken from volunteers with antibodies, and infusion of such plasma with antibodies was perfomed to a patient. As of this morning, the patient is afebrilen and in good condition.
