As of July 7, there is a 400 percent increase in the pre-trial proceedings against citizens’ political rights / Art. 167-169 of the Penal Code / compared to the data as of March 31, 2021. This is shown by the data from the interim analysis of the „Coordination and Information-Analytical Activity“ Directorate.“, announced the press center of the Ministry of Interior.
At the time covered, a total of 30 pre-trial proceedings were instituted on the territory of the Capital Directorate of Interior and the districts of Burgas, Varna, Kardzhali, Montana, Plovdiv, Sliven, Smolyan, Sofia, Stara Zagora, and Haskovo. As of March 31, there were 6 similar pre-trial proceedings instituted in the districts of Varna, Pazardzhik, Pernik and Smolyan.
The largest increase in the initiated pre-trial proceedings compared to the data as of March 31, 2021 is observed on the territory of the districts of Burgas, Montana, Sofia, Kardzhali, Sliven and Haskovo.
The pre-trial proceedings initiated as of 7 July account for 8. 8% of the received reports – 341 in total. By comparison, as of 31 March, the pre-trial proceedings initiated accounted for 4. 2% of the received signals – 144 in total.
As of yesterday, 5,133 warning protocols under Art. 65 of the Ministry of Interior Act, of which 850 are from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Plovdiv, Burgas – 604, Blagoevgrad – 522., were drawn up. There is an increase of 454.9% of the protocols drawn up under Art. 65 of the Ministry of Interior Act compared to the data as of March 31, 2021 – then they were a total of 925.
Between June 4 and July 6, 122,592 applications were received and a total of 129,011 ID cards were issued in the Bulgarian Identity Documents Directorate, the Interior Ministry and the Regional Directorates of the Ministry of Interior in Bulgaria.
