Already today, the caretaker Minister of Transport Hristo Alexiev began to seek responsibility for the ship stranded near Kamen Bryag. He announced this himself, specifying that there are serious remarks on the issue. Alexiev was at the scene and returned a few hours ago.
There are currently waves of 3-4 points in the area. And the government has several priorities on the issue. In the first place is the environment and the protection of the health of the citizens, as well as the operation for evacuation of the ship’s crew, if this is necessary due to worsening weather conditions.
Alexiev also announced that he was surprised to find that there were no developed procedures and reactions in such situations. There was no resource security on the part of the state, or even on the part of private business. Thus, all possible means were mobilized, and they turned out to be insufficient. All this is happening given that the law clearly states that the state must have the ability to react in such situations.
The transport minister also said that the ship’s fuel had been completely drained. A minimum amount is left. This was necessary to maintain the power supply.
Currently, five parallel plans have been made for the unloading of the ship and its withdrawal. All of them will comply with environmental protection requirements.
