Tour operators are gathering to protest in front of the Council of Ministers. They demand that some measures be taken to save the industry. According to the protesters, the sector should be supported financially because of the losses it suffers due to COVID-19. The implementation of a crisis plan, the implementation of grant schemes and grants for tour operators and tour guides who carry out outbound tourism are part of the demands of the protesters.

Pavlina Ivanova from the association „Future for Tourism“ explained on the air of „bTV“ that the protest has no political orientation. She shared about the difficult communication they had with Nikolina Angelkova. According to the former minister, the tourism industry exported capital abroad.
About 32,000 Bulgarians have prepaid for their holidays abroad this year. There are others to whom the money should be returned. However, they are located in various companies for the supply of tourist products abroad.
The tourism industry does not have a guarantee fund and no liquidity. „We do not see a horizon for work.“, added Pavlina Ivanova.
