Tsvetan Vassilev, the owner of the bankrupt Corporate Commercial Bank (CCB), is being heard in the temporary parliamentary committee for the investigation of the circle around the murdered Martin Bojanov-Notariusa. He said that Petro Petrov-Evroto was the main technical organiser of the hit on the CCB and the subsequent indictments made by former Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev.
“The Euro was the main technical organiser of the preparations for the hit on the bank and subsequently the indictments made by Ivan Geshev. What was the organization of the „Eight Dwarfs“ – I can not say – it exists after the departure of Pepi Euro from the investigation. Basically an outsourced bureau to control the prosecution. Apparently Peevski was no longer comfortable hosting prosecutors at the Berlin Hotel. I have no doubt who is the inspirer – it is Delyan Peevski, and Pepi Euro is not an intellectual performer”, Vassilev explained.
Asked if he knew Petyo The Euro, Vassilev said:
“Yes, I know him personally. I met him through Delyan Peevski in 2005-2006. Even at one stage it turned out that we had apartments in Bansko, in the same building. It turned out that he, Delyan Peevski and I happened to know the same investor. After that, I did not see the person in question until he came to light in the organization of the attack on the bank. In fact, the whole scenario from the point of view of the prosecution was made by him.”
Lena Borislavova from „We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria“ asked a question related to Vassilev’s interview with Sasho Dikov, to whom he had said, “A genius freak is this Petyo Euro. You give him a bottle of whiskey, he drinks it and he can create any passive, any kompromat against anyone.”
Every man has his weaknesses, Vassilev confirmed and continued, “It became known that alongside additional revelations about the Eight Dwarfs, that besides the work of summoning magistrates, assignments, handing over thank-you envelopes, etc., there was also the organization of quite a few orgies. So you can imagine the type of compromises he collects. Along with that, I guess information was collected on everyone, politicians, people in the judiciary, and people in business, so that they could be kept under control. When they had nothing for me until 2014, they decided to destroy the bank, /…/ thanks to which I am now in a courtroom. So the compromises would have to be of a different nature. I have no idea what they are and which ones are used so they can be influenced.”
“People each have their weaknesses, but it is obvious that the judiciary, after the control of the SJC and the prosecution, is completely controlled by this circle. And the fact is that until 2013 there were brokers like Krasyo Chernya, Mondeshki. /…/ They appointed a number of heads of courts. The head of Sofia City Court. The deputy of the Sofia City Court. The head of the Criminal Division. They are all part of the circle of influence. I would call him Peevski, not the Eight Dwarfs, as he is poetically called. And in the end, you see that this system works,“ he added, stressing that he had not seen the compromises. While obviously it was part of Mr. Peevski’s main capital.”
When there was a decision to finance a particular business, mainly linked to Mr Peevski, Vassilev had the final say and stressed that he felt responsible for securing Peevski’s loans.
“For a long time he was absolutely correct in servicing these debts. Sometime until the summer-autumn of 2013, when some other decision was apparently made. Which was realized 9 months later. I did not particularly understand the question of what connection Mr Peevski’s loans have with the judiciary and its financing.”
Vassilev then gave some numbers that he said showed what Peevski’s positives were from the bankruptcy of CCB.
