„Vazrazhdane“ will introduce changes to the Religious Denominations Act that protect the Bulgarian Orthodox Church as the only such church, the party announced.
„On Christmas Eve, the Supreme Court of Cassation decided to „make us happy“ us with the registration of a second Orthodox Church. Twenty years after the end of the US Embassy-provoked ecclesiastical schism in our country, the court, composed of followers of the America for Bulgaria Foundation, decided to launch a second attack on the Bulgarian Patriarchate. However, this time, there is „Vazrazhdane“ in the Bulgarian parliament, and this will not happen.“
Today, we will begin work on an amendment to the Religious Denominations Act, which will grant the Bulgarian Patriarchate the exclusive right to use the phrase „Bulgarian Orthodox Church“. We will explicitly specify that this phrase cannot be used by other religious organizations, regardless of whether additional words or phrases are added to it. The bill will be submitted on the first possible working day, December 30.
„The election of Patriarch Daniil shocked the American obstetricians of the Phanariot lobby in Bulgaria, and the nationwide support for him further drove them into a fit of rage and helplessness. And as it seems, they wasted no time organizing an attack against the Church. However, this time it will not happen! Hands off our Orthodox Church!!!“, reads a statement from „Vazrazhdane,“ shared by leader of the political organization, Kostadin Kostadinov, on social media.
