„We continue the change“ and „Democratic Bulgaria“ will meet with representatives of over 30 non-governmental organizations that have expertise and a position in relation to democratic standards for holding fair elections.

At the same time, the two parties gave a joint briefing and once again called on the BSP to withdraw its project for changes to the Electoral Code, supported by GERB and DPS. They suggest that a temporary parliamentary committee deal with the amendments so that there can be a dialogue.
“The Ministerial Council of the GERB party chose and voted for these machines, not Maduro, but Borisov chose these machines, the CEC with a chairman from the GERB quota chose them. I will not comment on the sacks of lies we heard this morning”, stated “We continue the Change” co-chairman Kiril Petkov and asked rhetorically:
“We always want to talk about the budget, about the real problems of the people, and GERB, BSP and DPS chose to open the Electoral Code. Why do they have a fixation on it, is that the most important thing to people?”
According to Petkov, the goal is to bring back fraud with paper ballots, to close the Public Council of the The Central Election Commissionand to make it difficult for Bulgarians abroad.
The leader of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov assured that they are ready to have a serious conversation. According to him, it is about 2 very important values - one is the trust in the electoral process, which was blown up, and the trust in this National Assembly to make normal legislation. According to him, today the proposal for the creation of a temporary commission will be submitted and next Wednesday the MPs from PP and DB will enter the plenary hall to vote on it. The proposal is for the committee to work for a month to have a structured conversation process.
Petkov called on GERB, DPS and BSP, if they really respect their voters, to support the creation of the commission.
