Today MPs from the parliamentary group of “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” officially submitted a signal to the Anti-Corruption and Conflict of Interest Commission regarding the alleged incompatibility of the Chairman of the Audit Chamber – Dimitar Borisov Glavchev.
The alert is based on data indicating a potential conflict of interest and a violation of the incompatibility requirements set out in the Accountability Chamber Act. According to the facts presented, Dimitar Glavchev, in addition to holding the position of President of the Court of Auditors, was also appointed as interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, a position which according to the special law is incompatible with his current post.
“We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” insists on a prompt investigation by the Commission for Counteracting Corruption and Conflict of Interest and informing the National Assembly about the results. The alert stresses that the appointment of Dimitar Glavchev to an additional position outside the stipulated exceptions constitutes a violation of the law and should be addressed immediately.
