What is the opinion of trade unions and parents in schools about not applying green certificates? This issue became especially topical after the drastic measures announced yesterday by the caretaker government. President of the Syndicate „Education“ Dr. Yulian Petrov, commented to “BNT” on the decision not to require a green certificate for teachers, because otherwise the education system would be left without teachers.

He stressed the position of the caretaker Minister of Education and Science Nikolay Denkov that the practice of teachers who are not vaccinated to teach children online cannot be introduced. It will be difficult to introduce and check the children themselves at the entrance to the school.

For her part, Yana Alexieva from “Parents” Association was adamant that the opinions were different. According to her, the current measures are overdue and this is evidenced by the huge increase in the number of infected. According to her, the measures are once again aimed at children instead of adults, who are once again on the front line and once again face the danger of being locked up at home for the second year in a row.

She believes that the introduction of a green certificate is an option, but people should be given a reprieve so that they can prepare. The other sick topic is testing, and she says there should be good communication between authorities and parents on this issue, as well as the use of non-invasive tests, which have long been talked about and wanted to be introduced. The tests themselves must be accessible and free.

Aleksieva expressed hope that the in-person training would not be terminated, because the schools are doing everything possible to comply with the measures. But they also need support.
