Huge wealth, profitable business, connections with the authorities – these are just some of the similarities between Kiril Domuschiev and Hristo Kovachki, which we introduced you to in the previous three articles. They both have built their empires in troubled times, under different administrations and in close relations with the GERB and MRF parties. The Iskra.bg team cannot assess what the two are like as people, but each reader can form his own opinion based on the information provided by official sources, the media and the social network.
Bulgarians like Vasil Bozhkov, who is currently an exile in Dubai, also revealed aspects of Domuschiev’s and Kovachki’s businesses that are not so well known to the public. He said his allegations could be verified, but neither the Bulgarian nor the European Prosecutor’s Office is doing so. And he asked – „Why?“ It is a question that many Bulgarians are asking themselves, wanting justice and to stop the plundering of Bulgaria.
Everyone knows what happens to the inconvenient people in power in our country, regardless of whether they were with it yesterday. Examples of this are – Plamen Galev and Angel Hristov, known as the Galevi brothers, who have been in hiding since 2012; the owner of the bankrupt „Corporate Commercial Bank“, defined as the bank of the power, Tsvetan Vassilev, who has been in Serbia since 2014; businessman Vasil Bozhkov has received a number of accusations since 2020 and has been in Dubai for the third year.
At the beginning of March, companies from the Hristo Kovachki group were hit by a number of inspections by the Bulgarian and European authorities. According to information in some media, while this was going on, he went to Dubai, and according to others – he was spotted in Johannesburg, South Africa. Given the information in the previous sections, it remains to be seen what will happen to Kiril Domuschiev – will he continue to develop his business in Bulgaria and abroad or will he suffer the fate of businessmen Kovachki, Bozhkov, Vassilev, Peevski and the Galevi brothers. That is, whether he will fall under the blows of Magnitsky Act and whether the Bulgarian and European services and institutions will enter his companies for inspection. And will he go abroad in such a scenario?
