One of the two deputy directors of the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture / EAFA / has been replaced. It is about Nikolay Ivanov on the place to which Nikolay Boychev is appointed. The other deputy director, Yasen Kirov, has been reappointed, and the name of the BSU lecturer Vanya Stamatova has been linked to his vacancy.
Why were the personnel changes undertaken and what necessitated them? Do these events have anything to do with the upcoming elections on November 14, and what is the connection, if any? We wanted to ask these and other questions from Iskra.bg to the Executive Director of EAFA Galin Nikolov.
In our first attempt to talk to Mr. Nikolov, he replied that he is currently in important meetings, which will last until 20:00 in the evening. The director of the Agency asked us to call him after the hour in question, because he wanted to personally comment on the appointment and be comprehensive on the subject.
When we called Galin Nikolov back at the agreed time, his phones were busy. Both. At the same time. We heard the same signal for 30 minutes. At one point we decided that since he was somehow able to talk on both mobile phones at the same time, Nikolov was extremely busy and we shouldn’t bother him anymore. For now.
We looked for the EAFA director again. Within 4 hours, one of his numbers was busy and the other was turned off. What has now begun to excite us no less than the above-mentioned questions is the subject of truth.
Why does a person appointed to such a responsible position make promises that not only do not keep, but also sound like another outright lie? Can we talk about transparent management of the Agency in this situation? Is the lack of answers related to the lack of time or to the presence of fear of being exposed нещо in something?
Other important questions that remain unanswered so far are: who staffs in NAFA; who „recommended“ the new deputy director Nikolay Boychev; Is Vanya Stamatova close to a certain ruler in order to mention her name as a future Deputy Director of NAFA; Does Galin Nikolov follow the orders of some people in order to keep the position he holds?
