Hotel owners are expecting tourists for Easter. Some of them arrived at our seaside resorts last night, and the rest are expected to travel on the first of a series of weekends, i.e. today.
Is there any interest in our Northern Black Sea coast and are the places in the Golden Sands resort expected to be filled?
Stanislav Stoyanov, who is vice-president of the Union of Hoteliers at the local level, explained that there is a failure of reservations for the holidays.
According to him, the reason is the Ukrainian refugees who are accommodated in hotels. He explained that even when this process began, it was clear that this would happen. The reason is that people still do not know how the war in Ukraine will develop. So the whole season went to failure.
The few guests still expected for Easter are Bulgarian and Romanian citizens. They would also open hotels that do not house refugees from Ukraine.
However, our country could not compete with Poland and the Baltic states, where you can only enter with an ID card. This also affected attendance.
